I have said nothing about the election in my LJ but have commented here and there in others. But now I feel moved to write a few words.


Today my husband and I voted both voted for Obama, it was in fact the FIRST time my husband ever voted in his 50+ years. I have never been so proud to be an American as I am tonight. I lived through the sixties and the civil rights movement, Watergate, Vietnam, etc and never thought I would live to see an African American president. Never mind one of mixed race... now let's hope he lives up to his promise. (I have a good feeling he will)
